The Miller Brothers Program
Join us at the Historical Society as The Miller Brothers - Lester, Russel, Richard, Robert, and William - sing, dance, and tell stories about the past, both in English and Pennsylvania Dutch. Since the brothers have retired from the work force, they have focused on keeping the local language alive by presenting their various talents. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the local culture in an entertaining way. We are in for a very special treat!
This event is free to the public and typically lasts approximately one hour. All ages welcome.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the Hessians
Civil War Historical Reenactor and Lecturer, Michael Jesberger, presents a program on one of America's oldest short stories based on real accounts that took place in the Hudson Valley of New York during the American Revolution. Browse artifacts of the time period and region as you learn about the rich history surrounding the story.
This event is open to the public and the cost is free. All ages welcome.
